New website design wanted for Old Brock Muscle and Classic Car Sales

Based in Dundas Ontario Canada (midway between Toronto and Buffalo) Primarily sales of Muscle Cars and Classic Cars. These are not everyday used cars for people to use for everyday transportation. Instead these are classics. The cars are acquired at private sales and auctions in the united states and Canada, brought back to our warehouse, photographed and offered for sale on this website. The cars are sold to car collectors and classic car enthusiasts all over the province and potentially across Canada and across USA. Additionally, the business also takes on Car restoration and refurbishing projects. The website may also act as a resource or Muscle Car Enthusiasts as it will have a Resources section with descriptions and links to other websites.

1. http://www.realmusclecar.com - Colors are good, however site is a bit too plain looking 2. http://www.huntingtonmusclecarwheels.com/ - If this was in our colors of red and black, like the black sides with the faded checker or honeycombed. Generally like everything from the top to bottom of the nav panel section (about 1/2 of way down). [I.e. the top 1/2 of the page with the back on the left/right sides we like that look] - The cars flashing in the middle would have to be photos of our vehicles. Of course they wouldn't be glamour shots like the ones shown here. - You should only draw inspiration from the first two sites listed...if you want. The remaining sites listed are for reference only. Similar business. 3. http://www.montrealmusclecars.com/ - Just to give you an idea of another site in a similar business. We don't like the flash or the music etc. 4. http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/ - Just to give you an idea of another site in a similar business. We don't like the site design 5. http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/site/ - Just to give you an idea of another site in a similar business. Although this site is the top player in this marketplace. My client is no where near the size of this organization. (Although this one is over the top... too flashy, to much going on. My client doesn't need that)

We require two pages (templates). 1. Home page / Splash Page which has some jquery animation to give it some 'POP'. - Logo and Company name to be Prominent - We will likely want to feature 1 or 2 or 3 cars on the home page somewhere, possibly using a jquery slider effect. - We want this page to look exciting and professional and sharp! - Once the site is implemented, we will programattically change the images featured on the home page jquery animation. 2. Inside pages template which simply consists of MastHead and left/right sides, page and section headings, but no animation or JQyery required. This page template will be used for all site pages except the home page (the 'Inside' pages). So this templage will be used to hold content for these inside pages: About Us, Inventory, Projects, Photo Gallery, Facilities, Contact, Resources, and their sub-pages. We have a proprietary CMS (similar concept as wordpress or joomla or .net nuke) but its our internal CMS and its build on Microsoft.net. We will take your templates and convert them into .aspx template pages that work with our CMS. - That is why we need the images spliced and html pages as part of the work output for this project. We should consider adding the following social icons somewhere on the page design. Facebook Twitter These are just the small square icons that will link the person to our yet to be developed FB and Twitter accounts (future)

1. The current website (www.old-brock-auto-sales.ca) will be shut down and a new website will be launched in its place. 2. The existing used car division is being phased out and the Muscle and Classic Car sales division is becoming the core business, and as such we are launching a new website for this purpose. 3. We have attached a new logo design which is to be used for the website. 4. We have not selected the new domain name yet, but will do so shortly, likely before we select the first round finalists. 5. We want the winning designer to provide the following files: a) Original Artwork source files (Illustrator, Indesign, or whatever tool you used) b) We want both pages (home and inside template) run through the photoshop image ready tool or similar so that you can provide us the spliced graphics and html page templates for these two pages. c) So essentially, item (b) is suggesting we need you to deliver us a working shell of a website with two pages Home page + inside page. (no programming, php, .net or anything, just straight html, javascript and/jquery as necessary. d) We want some animation on the home page, but these are to be done using jQuery effects and not Flash! e) We want html5 compliant coding used please (thats for item (c)) f) Main Pages / Navigation Tabs (8) are envisioned as follows: Home, About Us, Inventory, Projects, Photo Gallery, Facilities, Contact, Resources g) Almost all of the menu tabs will have sub-menus except home and contact. (We will likely provide the javascript/jquery coding for the sub menus, however if you have the code and want to include it in your design we are open to including it.)
