Desired Style: I'll leave this up to you guys, but please see referring sites and explanations in the description area. Accepted File Formats: psd, png $501 Uncoded Website (home page and 2 interior pages) Were swamped and need help Need Home page and 2 interior pages designed. 1 interior page would be typical section home page. 2nd interior page should be a business directory. We welcome a fixed (780px est. width) or flexible width design for this data-driven site. This is a brand new site for the Richmond BID (Business Improvement District) organization. Richmond BID needs to be in the header we dont have a logo yet. Client has given the following information, but no content theyre developing that now. Purpose Goal of the site is to promote Richmond, VA as a great place to work, visit and live; to attract new business to Richmond, while also being a source of information on local events and businesses for both area residents as well as tourists (i.e., other site visitors). Design Site should incorporate an upbeat design and color scheme. Client likes a multi-colored navigation area the concept in http://www.downtowndenver.com., but it doesn't have to be that way, if it doesn't work with your cool design. Design should be clean and uncomplicated. http://www.Aquent.com comes to mind when I think of clean and uncomplicated. This design from another sitepoint contest is also very effective (though the header area on the home page might be too large for our clients taste; also header doesnt have to be 1 big image use your creative skills and imagination) http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/contestentrant/2401/191831#entry141661 If you go with the multi-colored navigation, then client would like each section to be skinned in a different color, matching the color in the navigation. For example, the About Us section will be skinned in orange, while Interact would be a shade of red like their respective nav items, (see pdf). They would also like each section to have a different image in the header area. Structure Home page Should include an image in the content area and welcome message, as well as a Calendar, Event listing, News Listing, and a spot to promote a local business or two or three (text links or small banner ads). All pages should include a Search box and email subscribe box. Global navigation sections: * About Us * Community and Environment * Interact * Development and Technology * Governmental Relations * Events * Membership * Contact Interior page Interior should be skinned in the color of its nav button, possibly include a separate picture in the header, and the sub-nav should be down the left-side of the page. Client provided the following images if you have others, thats fine too. They must be rigths free and cost no more than $5ea to license - http://188.8.131.52/sp1/1.jpg, http://184.108.40.206/sp1/2.jpg, http://220.127.116.11/sp1/3.jpg, http://18.104.22.168/sp1/4.jpg, http://22.214.171.124/sp1/5.jpg, http://126.96.36.199/sp1/6.jpg, http://188.8.131.52/sp1/7.jpg, http://184.108.40.206/sp1/8.jpg Referring sites http://www.kingstonfirst.co.uk/business-directory/search/listing/a/1 This one is really cool. Save for the content organization on the home page, I really like the design, the action, the organization (on interior pages anyway - home page is too much). Make the links text-based and something like this would work. http://www.hullbid.co.uk/ Nice example of non-traditional design, while still keeping it clean and organized. http://www.camdentownunlimited.com/ Well organized and super clean. The navigation doesn't work for us (navigation has to be text based), but this site has good presentation. http://www.londonbridgebid.co.uk Good structure to this, though may be too sterile, but notice how they have the main image change with each section...
