We are not expecting final versions of all 3 pages by the end of the "qualifying round". Please feel free to submit a great looking version of just 1 page. (Make sure it's really good!)
Our understanding of the qualifying round is to see who is good enough to work with. We don't expect you to be 100% done with this job until AFTER you have been selected as the "winner" and guaranteed pay.
Right now, just show us enough to say "Wow! That's who we want to work with"
EDIT: We are increasing the prize to bid for 3 "pages" even though 2 of the "pages" are small. (one is roughly 185x270, another is 760 x 95)
We are updating this project description to count the "card" as its own entire page.
1) Top Navigation Masthead.
Must be exactly 95 Pixels High by 760 Pixels wide.
This is a very small "page" but packs a lot of visual design, so we are counting it as a full "page" for purposes of payment here.
We need a masthead that shows this is a professionally made game. (See the top navigation frame of Mecha Galaxy) This will be at the top of each page and should lead the visual style of the game. We'd like some small details that lend itself to the idea of the game; think of what details and images a super hero game can mirror from MechaGalaxy's details of metal and bolts. You don't need to make a logo, but there should be a place left in the masthead to put it at a later time. You can leave that blank or use the Game Craftsmen logo for now (does not need to match the colors).
In addition to fun style and small details, the masthead should include
-- A two level navigation menu (Like Mecha Galaxy)
-- All the same Player info as Mecha Galaxy (Energy Bar, Level, Player Name, Volume control, etc)
Masthead must be exactly 95 Pixels High by 760 Pixels wide.
2) Home Page Skeleton
Reskin the "home" page of Mecha Galaxy. This is an important page not only because of the specific information, but also because of the DESIGN FRAMEWORK. Things like the modules, the headers, the weapon card, etc. Include different background textures for each module and also for the page itself. Please feel free to design a few different modules that might not all look good together on the same page, we'll use them in multiple pages. Please include a "Friend Bar" at the bottom of the page (if you don't have any Facebook Friends playing, you might not notice that on the home page, please see screenshot.) Notice that each user image has a "profile frame" (UserFrame.png) please include similar elements, but with a Super Hero motif (instead of the science fiction that is Mecha Galaxy)
etc. etc. etc.
The color scheme should be the same as the masthead.
3) Power Card
Roughly 185X270 pixles (about 185 wide and about 270 tall) can be a bit more or less, per your artistic vision.
A very important element of the home page (and every page) is the Weapon Cards. These will be switched to "Power Cards" for Super Hero Powers. Please include a "Recommended Power" on the home page, (see Mecha Galaxy)
But, unlike Mecha Galaxy, the pictures on the cards should be bigger, and be almost the full width of the card.
Every Super-Power card will have certain common elements:
-- Title (At the top)
-- Flavor text (short paragraph, presumably at the bottom)
-- Three Stats: Attack value, Defense value and Movement value. (see attached screenshot of Superhero card) These can be anywhere on the card, should probably be just a little bit bigger than they are shown on the example super hero.
-- A "type" icon on the top left. In the attached superhero example, this is where the sun is. (In the Galaxy Eye weapon example, it's the "Laser" icon in the top left.)
-- Main image. The main image should be slightly BIGGER than the images on the Mecha Galaxy weapons. Also, the card design should be able to accommodate both images which are EITHER square, OR wider, wide images should fill almost the entire width of the card.
For example, look at the Mecha Galaxy equipment cards.
Notice that the "Midori's Boots" card uses a square image, whereas the "Muon Junction" has a wide image, but both are on the same card:
-- Common or Elite. Each power will be either common or elite. You are only required to create the Elite card for this project, but when we are ready to launch the game, we will have 2 different types of cards (common and elite). If you're inspired to create both, that's cool too, but we are only asking for the Elite design at this point. The elite cards look cooler and more shiny. (Please see the Mecha Galaxy Weapons page for examples)
