We do mainly programming and some website maintenance. We do what we call as staff augmentation. That is our team works with the client team to finish projects.
Simple, clean, crisp, modern. Some pictures are okay but don't overload the website with images. Messaging and call to action should stand out.

What to avoid
Avoid themes that are dark On the web site, I think the way to capture your audience is to think of the messaging hierarchy is like a pyramid. As you go down the pyramid, there is more content that further explains the story. At the top are three attention-grabbing headlines that make the reader want to learn more. The next level down are the benefit statements. The benefit statements are just that, with enough verbiage (the benefit statement, plus no more than a couple of succinct statements) to get the reader to “click” to the detail that explains each benefit statement. Visually, I would use visuals and icons that help represent the story. The average page view can be less than three seconds. Visuals stop the reader more quickly than text, and they spend more time on the page to then read the content. In my opinion, the current website doesn’t have enough visuals. Use icons with the headlines to get their attention. The three benefit statements for each headline should have visuals to complement the story. The details for each benefit statement can have visuals, iconographics like you have on slide 3 of the deck you sent me. Also, I would ensure that your entire story fits under the cascading messaging hierarchy you’ve developed. If any details in the website don’t fit, either they aren’t needed or the higher level messaging needs to be adjusted. Otherwise, the messaging is confusing. In the current website, you have content that doesn’t seem to fit the messaging hierarchy we discussed in the deck. Finally, I would come back to the list of traps and pitfalls we discussed and make sure the messaging proactively addresses those potential issues. That is how you differentiate your value proposition, educate the reader (so you become the trusted advisor), and help them through the buying cycle more quickly.
