Novusport, Inc. is a social media game designed to promote global sports participation. We believe sports were meant to be played and enjoyed, not just watched on TV, computers or mobile devices. As such, we've developed an innovative concept to entice people to try new sports regardless of their skill set. Based on the popularity of fantasy sports, and its influence in today's sports consumer society, we set out to create a groundbreaking game we call "the Gamificaiton of Sports"
If a picture is worth a thousand words, moving pictures establish the authenticity or validity of a past occurrence. For sports fans, videos are the only source to get close to the action. You might ask, how many people could have personally experienced Kerri Strug's gold medal vault, or Jack Nicklaus's final Masters win? And yet, these are indelable images for most sports fans in the U.S. Why? Because of the power of videos in today's society.
Videos are the backbone of the Novusport mobile application. But here is the twist, we want the amateurs, weekend warriors and morning quarterbacks, to be seen as part of their own game. Picture this: 20 sports and 145 predefined activities we call "ActivRs" which range from 15 seconds to 4 minutes to complete; like 40 yard dash, pushups in a minute or a bowling strike. Novusport has invested in research and development of a proprietary algorithm which measures customer data based on world records in a variety of sports and quantifies it to create fantasy sports-style statistics that allow our star athletes to compete globally.
Novusport combines sports with technology in a model that gives incentives to be active, reaching potentially millions around the world regardless of age or gender and bridging the gap between electronic devices and physical sports participation.
The game is simple to play. Here's how: Download the app Choose a sport, then select an ActivR. Check-in at the location where you’ll play and bring a sidekick to video record the ActivR on your smart phone. Uploading the video validates your skills. Novusport then calculates your stats and adjusts your Sports Graph based on 10 physical and mental attributes: Ground speed, water speed, endurance, strength, vertical jump, accuracy, courage, balance, Novusport IQ and popularity. As you complete more ActivRs, you earn points and medals and build a virtual trophy room. You can share your accomplishments and challenge your friends.

Sports are all around us, its influence can be seen in the way we dress and how some people choose to live their lives while participating and enjoying sports. For instance, the Olympic Games held in July 2012 in London, not only will the games highlighted the glory of sports and inspired billions of people around the globe to get involved, but they provided a wonderful showcase for the technological achievements of the sporting industry.
A major factor which affects all levels of sports participation is the ongoing attraction of electronic options which are sedentary in nature such as laptop computers, iPods, Internet chat rooms, hand-held games, computer games, and cell phones. While these items are dynamic innovations, they do consume large amounts of our life and, as a result, cut into the time that could have been set aside for recreational or athletic pursuits. People who want to get in shape need to make exercise a daily priority - just as the ancient Greeks emphasized the importance of a 'sound mind' and a 'sound body.'
Novusport aims to bridge the gap between electronic devices and physical sport participation. By combining these two elements into a model which gives people incentives to go out and be active, we can potentially reach billions of people around world. We want to attract parents in the United State who are looking for innovative ways to spend time with their children. We will create challenges for those children to bring their peers into the game. We are looking to reach the young at heart, the outdoors lovers and anyone seeking an active life, regardless of age, sex or gender.
