How David_nigri started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We provide homework help, like chegg.com, brainmass.com etc
Our website will work as a bridge between students and tutors. Students will post their questions on the website and tutors will choose what they would like to answer and send their step by step answers.
As our audience will be mainly young people we would like something neat and very easy to use. All we want is the user to get into the website, post their questions and leave, only coming back to look at the answer or posting a new question. Hence we would like it to go straight to the point. No distractions. Light colors and clear indications of where the user should go.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
We would only like the design of the main page. The main page will be comprised of a form/box where the user will input the title, subject, category and question. The space to write the question should be reasonably large. We also have some tools which the user will be able to access in order to post the question. The default button will be the textbox where he can write the question. The second button will lead him to a tool we created which is similar to a blackboard where he can draw and post mathematic formulas. The third button will take him to an option where he can upload documents and pictures to the question. We also need two more buttons (one for the user to save the question and the other for him to send). These tools are ready and we do not need a specific design for them.
What to avoid
Boring colors and shapes. Designs which lead to confusion related to the usability of the page.
The attached file contains our current website. Its ugly but explains how it work.
