mjanes got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Four Seam Baseball
Check out mjanes's Web page design contest…
We are a baseball oriented photo agency with our target audience being baseball players (15-30 years old) and baseball fans in the 15-40 age range, as well as media clients. Today we only offer images for sale and license to professional media outlets, however looking to expand into putting out features about people in the game (i.e. stories) and photo features as well - regular content being added weekly, so it must be able to easily add in pages as we go.
Looking for something that is not dark/dreary, but yet not overly saturated as well - overall design not really sure. Find the current site we have unbelievably boring and dreary! Want Featured Stories - Featured Galleries - Who We Are/Affiliates - Social Media. Going to be adding services and information pages, because how we sell professional baseball photos is different than how we sell high school photos. Services being added.
Our photo pages of our website are hosted with PhotoShelter and the website has to be able to work with their page - so lot of it is a "shell". Possibly about page with services as well, contact page that has info (i.e. they select a main category and info for that category is displayed before they contact us), terms & conditions.
What to avoid
No flash, not overly dreary or too bright; no drop down menus.
Looking for lil bold, modern but straight forward and info driven that is easy to find.
