Site will use the current branding and colour scheme – there are no official ‘brand guidelines’ and they have no fixed preferences for font other than using clear, professional and easy-to-read fonts.
A priority for the design of the entire site is to keep it clean and uncluttered and easy to use.
Consideration needs to be given to how the site will work on mobiles- mobile users will need to be able to do 3 things easily: 1) Call (so ensure the phone number is clear, is at the top of the page on mobile devices and is set to click to call) 2) ‘Find us’ 3) Enter registration number and find parts
We looked at webuyanycar.com to look at how they get people to enter their registration numbers – by making the CTA right in the middle of the page. Something similar to buycarpartsonline.co.uk (where it is part of the top navigation) may work better as it can then be available as a CTA on every page.
Wherever possible, use their own images rather than generic stock images.
Main information pages (for top nav) – home, about, products, installation, bespoke, find us, contact us
Additional pages (for footer) – Trade customers, Blog, Terms and conditions, Privacy, Delivery, Reviews
Have a long scrollable home page with some button links below the ‘enter reg’, then possibly a ‘find us’ section with a google map and photo of the premises, then below that some special offers/latest products scrolling, and below that feeds from the blog and from twitter and/or facebook.
They show clients they work with on the current site and we should keep this as well.
Also need to make a search bar very prominent and easy to find – possibly in the header.
Include social media links in footer.
