How jmg R started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Glapion Law Firm
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a consumer protection attorney. I basically sue companies that have wronged ordinary consumers. My primary practice area is suing companies that won't stop calling you on the phone without your permission or after you asked them to stop. I also sue debt collectors for abusive debt collection practices and other companies for fraud and false advertising.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Modern, but not so modern as to be abstract or avante garde. Everything needs to be easily found and navigable. It needs to be clear who I am and what I do. Responsive and mobile friendly. I like single page designs, but I'm not against other designs. My website will also by necessity need multiple pages, but for the main information, I don't mind single page design.
DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO USE MY CURRENT COLOR SCHEME, LOGO, OR SLOGAN. Be original!
If you keep the current logo (I understand that a logo redesign isn't included in this package), don't be afraid to design a page where the current logo doesn't fit. I can deal with the logo once the design is set.
Homepage: Practice areas, About Me, Ability to Contact Me, Location, Results & Testimonials, "Money Recovered" counter (see http://www.stopcallingme.com for an example)
About me: Name, Bio, Picture, Experience, "Bar Admissions"
Practice Areas: Name of practice, description of practice
Investigations: List of cases I'm currently investigating and a brief description of each case; ability to contact me about each case
Contact page: Form to contact me
What to avoid
Clutter; being too similar to every law firm website ever.
Logo can be completely redone if you need to in order to fit your design, but I've attached the .ai image of the current logo.
It is important to me that the user can see my practice areas (ideally in a way that's more creative than just text), my phone number, and a call to action (such as a "Contact Us" or "Free Consultation" button) without having to scroll or do much work.
