New t-shirt design wanted for The Gladiator CHARGE 5K Race

We are holding our first 5K race for a middle school, the Hector Garcia Middle School Gladiators. The name of the race is The Gladiator CHARGE! Our school colors are black and silver and a splash of blue. The required words to include are "Gladiator CHARGE!" or "The Gladiator CHARGE!". Optional words are "Hector Garcia Middle School" and "Gladiators." Please do not include "5K Race."

We are looking for a design that would make every middle school kid - both male and female - want our tshirt before the race even takes place. We want trendy, cutting edge, big & bold graphics with color and pop that fits in the center chest area without looking like we could only afford to print on the center chest area. We will be charged based on the number of colors we use, so something that has pop with the fewer colors, the better. No weapons should be included in the graphic, but passive objects are okay - flag, shield, etc. We like the looks of both bold cut outs and distressed/vintage - really anything that older kids and adults would like! Creativity is highly valued! We know how to make designs in PowerPoint and Photoshop... We want someone who can take it to the whole next level! Ideally the back would have 2012 and a small coordinating graphic integrated in that goes across the shoulders (but smaller than all the way across the shoulders - see pptm example). Please do not include the words "5K race" because we are offering limited edition shirts before the race. We will be celebrating 7 weeks of The Gladiator CHARGE, complete with an Opening Ceremony, before the race begins.

This group of tweens can best be described as having the taste of high school and college kids - from an affluent area - most of the kids wear A&F and American Eagle brands. It's important to note that adults will be wearing this tshirt during the race, too. The tshirt should not be assumed to be black as we live in San Antonio and it gets very hot here. We would also prefer not to use a white shirt because it stains too easily. We have rights to the attached graphics, so they can be modified and used if you wish.
