mld734 got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
T-shirt design for Lab T-shirts
Check out mld734's T-shirt contest…
We would like to make a t-shirt for our research lab. Simple & easy design, shouldn't take much time!
What's your vision?
Updates: No more cage card (had some protests to that). No cartoony. No mouse nibbling/biting something. Though a subtle bite mark is ok but not necessary. Going for more of a scientific theme now. The whole design doesn't have to scream science; just adding in some sciency details like in entry #93 is good too. More important is the overall feel, which should be clean, slick, cool, but not boring. Like you might think it's a cool graphic tshirt from a distance, but when you look up close, it's a nerdy science shirt. Examples from Old Navy: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=5271 Also, it shouldn't be too in your face of a design (e.g. a hazard warning), a little more subtle look, again, like the graphic tees. Text: "my mouse bit me" Font: Something unique, sharp, clean, not too complicated. Image: There's a cute mouse next to the text. This part you can be creative with. The mouse should look like a lab mouse, like the attached image (but not red eyes). I like the sillhouette mice entries so far, just make sure they don't look like a (scary) rat. Layout: Scientific theme. Nerdy is ok, as long as the overall look is still cool (let me know if that statement is confusing). A picture of a lab bottle is attached and the label circled for your reference on something scientific-y. Let your imagination go though. Details are important, like science related details. Though the details can be clever and funny, the overall design should be sharp and clean. Feel free to add a bit more color, max 3 colors though. Feel free to ask me questions! Thanks.
Target audience are lab rats/researchers, in their 20-30's.
