EdwardssonWhatsits got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Illustrate Rosie the Riveter standing astride a bicycle, with a messenger bag over her shoulder, for my T-Shirt

Must be a match in style and color for http://www.nps.gov/pwro/collection/website/rosie.jpg
Extended contest, more refined brief: 1) Flexed bicep pose just doesn't work. Rosie has to be in a more natural pose for a bicycle messenger, with at least one hand on the handlebars. 2) Messenger bag needs to be high and tight on her back. The fat satchel in a low slung position on the hip looks cool, but a working bike messenger in the big city can't carry a bag like that. This real messenger in NYC shows you exactly what I mean: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2008/11/16/nyregion/16mess.span.jpg Another iconic American character on a bicycle. See my previous competition, "Abraham Lincoln Fat Tire Jumper" for the basic idea. This time the original character will be Rosie The Riveter: http://www.nps.gov/pwro/collection/…/rosie.jpg She will be standing astride a fixie (single speed bicycle, look at pictures for new movie "Premium Rush") with a messenger bag across her shoulders. Her speech balloon will say "We Can Deliver It", and there will be a caption below that says "Rosie The Messenger". This one needs to be in colors that match the classic WW2 image.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at €179.
