King of Nordic is an open Nordic esports championship with national tournaments in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

BRIEF
The client presented 2 options as themes for the logo :.

1) The King theme (a crown / king in the logo)
2) The Viking theme (as a reference to the Nordic countries participating in the tournament).

Note: This is the concept based on the Viking theme. In my portfolio you can also find the design I submitted for the King theme.

DESIGN PROCESS
I followed the client's request and I used a Viking character in the design.

Since the logo is for "King of Nordic" I didn't want the character to just look like a common warrior. Instead, I decided to give him a more imposing look. I wanted him to be someone who looks like a king.

The blue cloak and golden armor with wolves on the shoulders helped convey this concept even further.
