Curator Frank Fischer gets hold of a so far lost book with unacquainted prophecies by the famous clairvoyant Nostradamus. But instead of traditional nebulous verses, the last page contains clear and unambiguous predictions: a chain reac-tion of several disasters that finally will lead to the end of the world.

When the first two events have fulfilled, special forces attempt to break the causal chain. They are thwarted by a group of religious fanatics who believe that God's will must be fulfilled and that no human has the right to prevent the end of the world. And they have almost unlimited resources and no scruples.

Fischer, the clumsy academic, accidentally finds himself in the middle of a race against time and providence, in which everyone is after him and his book with the last prophecy of Nostradamus.

Will he be able to interpret the prophecies in time to prevent Doomsday?
