Our college and career success system has helped college students improve grades, increase motivation, get internship offers, and more. We need the right product packaging so that as many students as possible will give us a chance to help change their lives, too.
In terms of the look/feel, think of the all product packaging you've ever seen in national retail chain stores - and how you remember less than 1% of what you've seen. How it all blends together.
We are looking for a design that, in addition to the other criteria we've laid out, is clearly and obviously different and better - just like the expert guidance we provide for college students. We want the package design to be so simple, elegant, and polished that people actually call us to find out who designed the package. When they do, we will give them your name.
We need retail packaging which contains a book (8.25” x 11”), two CDs
(in standard jewel cases) and two bookmarks (2” x 7”). Retail outlets
are likely to be large-box book stores (e.g., Barnes & Noble) and/or
big-box retailers (e.g., Target, Walmart, etc.). Packaging will most
likely need to sit flat on a shelf (as opposed to hang from a hanger).
We are open to designs other than a standard rectangular box, but would
also favor a rectangular box with compelling graphics.
From a branding standpoint, think simple, sleek, Apple, cutting edge, different, stands out, and cool - but also premium, trusted, expert.
