Here’s our story: My brother, Mike, and I have decided to start a business selling cosmetics. Our first product is Eyelash Growth Serum. The name of our company and brand is, “John Mark.” (See attached logo. If you have any suggestions on that please give!) The strategy for our brand is to push it on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Our lofty goal is to actually make headway into building yet another brand of cosmetics and personal beauty care. It is sort of tongue-in-cheek. We cannot be further away from sophisticated, New York fashion. We were born and raised in Southwestern VA. We are simple, down-to-earth folk. However, we think it would be fun to attempt to build a brand around me, John Mark. That’s my name John Mark Hiatt. On Amazon, everything is based on the product, not on a brand, so we thought if we could somehow set ourselves apart with the brand we may be more successful. Yet, we will do as everyone else and push the product side super hard too. So, that’s the brand concept. My brother is working on marketing the brand outside of Amazon & Wal-Mart, where we are selling the product. I am working on the product side. The name of our first product is John Mark’s “Plump Up the Volume” Eyelash Growth Serum. The concept is to create an entire line of products, which can fall under this name. So our future products will be: volumizing mascara, lip plumper, volumizing hair spray, volumizing shampoo & conditioner. So it would be John Mark’s “Plump Up the Volume” Volumizing Hairspray, etc. My brother thinks that us trying to be sophisticated with the John Mark brand contradicts a product line called “Plump Up the Volume.” I agree to a point, but think it can certainly be done. With that said, much of how successful we are will be how well 99Designs creates this image. I see the product being fun, yet stylish, modern, and sophisticated too. We are open to the use of any colors you feel works – both for the brand and the product. The vials we purchased are boring. Attached photo, product B2. Basically, it is a standard, plain, simple, silver (grey)-colored 8 ml vial. We need you to work some magic to bring it to life. We’d like both names on the product – John Mark and Plump Up the Volume. However, if you only put John Mark on it to be super sophisticated, we are open to that. In fact, we are open to any professional idea. We really need your help and suggestions.
