Cosmetics & Beauty
Makeup Geek is a upstart cosmetic company that caters to makeup artists and enthusiasts. Our target demographic is females between 25 and 45. Packaging design will be targeted toward a high-end enthusiast (but not high-end department store feel).
What's your vision?
We are launching a new lip product that is very creamy. It is not drying and doesn’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles. The main focus of this project is the box. We want something that is modern, fits with our current packaging line-up, but has a bit of an art deco influence. The typography should reflect how soft and creamy the product is, and will also be placed on the tubes. The box should utilize four colors: Black White Rose Gold (Pantone 10154C) Raspberry (Pantone 675C) It should feature the name of the product, "Plush Lip Creme" (the emphasis of the typography being "Plush"), and our monogram descending in a pink box in a similar fashion to our other packaging. Ideally, we would like the pattern on the box to “flow” around to the sides well. We may also be interested in a design for the interior of the box. The tubes will utilize the same style of typography, and be printed in a single color, either rose gold or black. The cap will be our signature rose gold, and we open to having a frosted pattern that is cohesive with the packaging (see attached for an examples). Attached are the die lines, a photo of the tube, our monogram, examples of our current packaging, and a frosted print cap that we like the style of. You can see more examples of styles we like here: https://www.pinterest.com/nickreichert/project-plush/. Each pin has notes about what we find interesting about it, and what elements we would possibly like to include. Also attached is an example of an older lip product tube that we didn't end up using, but like the style of (Cashmere Creme). We don't want to replicate this design exactly, it's just to give you an idea of the possible branding emphasis.
