HeliotropeSF got their new product label by running a design contest:
Natural Skin Care Line is Ready for Stunning Labels

Cosmetics & Beauty
We are a San Francisco based skin care line. Our products are natural and made locally. Most of our products come with no added fragrance. Our target audience is everyone! Our line is unisex and priced accessibly. Customers who are looking for great quality, responsibly made skin care love our line.
What's your vision?
We're ready to update our packaging. We feel that our current labels do not represent our line properly. We're looking for labels that are more professional looking - something that sits between chic and clinical. Must have shelf-appeal, so not TOO clinical. We'd like avoid the currently popular anachronistic aesthetic. No curly mustaches, please. Label dimensions for 8oz Boston round: Trim size: 6.875 x 3 inches (w x h). A shorter label (in height) may work if you're able to keep all info listed without too much clutter. Bleeds: Please include 1/8 (0.125) inch bleeds, and at least 1/8 inch free space around trim line. Label dimensions for 4oz jar:Trim size: 8.8125 x 0.9375 inches (w x h) Bleeds: Please include 1/8 (0.125) inch bleeds, and at least 1/8 inch free space around trim line.
Please see this quick gallery of packaging / labels that inspire us: http://imgur.com/a/Ld74j We're leaning toward plastic amber boston round bottles for most of our packaging (https://www.bottles.com/images/familys/exp/BOSTON_ROUND_BOTTLES__AMBER_PET.jpg). We'll consider natural plastic botson round bottles as well (https://www.sks-bottle.com/images/00120020.03S.jpg). We're leaning toward natural caps and pumps (http://snclpackaging.com.au/images/T/2524-02LRG.jpg) but could be convinced to use white if the label steers the design that way. If we go the amber boston round bottle route, we'd prefer to steer clear of black caps and pumps as it ends up looking too masculine. Another common container we use is the jar, and we're thinking either amber or natural for this as well. http://www.sks-bottle.com/images/06090005.01SLRG.jpg Finally, please take a look at our website (http://www.heliotropesf.com) for product titles, descriptions, ingredients, and other text that you may need to use in your mock-ups. One thing to note is that our logo currently takes up an inordinate amount of label real estate. We're interested in reducing the size of the logo to make room for everything else, as well as dropping the color from it and going with a solid black, white, charcoal, etc. I've attached a PDF file of the logo in black and white, as well as an .eps and .ai file of an existing 8oz boston round label.
