Have worked with Elsa on many projects over several years. She's simply fantastic--responsive, creative, and helpful.
How Rabbikolton started their print or packaging design journey
Who are you known as?
The Birmingham Temple
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Birmingham Temple is a Jewish congregation for Humanistic Judaism. Humanistic Judaism is a non-theistic, progressive, cultural alternative in Jewish life. We have a Sunday School which celebrates Jewish history and culture. In our Sunday School we emphasize ethics and values in the curiculum. The Sunday school is a warm and joyous environment where children are free to explore their believes. There is music, Hebrew language, holiday celebrations, and an emphasis on the Jewish as a living people. *You can look at our website and learn more about our Sunday School curriculumand approach to Judaism. What sets us apart from other Jewish temples is that we do not worship God. We believe in the power and responsibility that people have to make our lives, and the world, a wonferful place to live.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a printed and digital Sunday School brochure that we can use to market the Sunday School.
On the website for The Birmingham Temple there is a photo of our building. I imagine a brochure which would have the building (photo or drawn) with the large doors in the center. You would open the doors down the middle, to open the borchure.
We also thought about a photo or sketch of a kid dragging their parent with the line: "Tired of dragging your kids to Sunday School? Let them drag you!" The kids love our Sunday School and this is quite different from what most people imagine!
Our target are parents with children ages 3-13
They would be Jewish or intermarried couples with one Jewish spouse, suburban professionals who are interested in a Temple that is progressive and not about all the old dogma.
