Florida Law Firm, representing Employers & Insurance Companies to defend workers compensation claims.
What's your vision?
***Update*** We are not having a very good response to our campaign and since I'm new to this sort of thing, I'm not sure why that is. If I've failed to provide any information that will increase the likelihood that the Watchers will turn into Submitters, please let me know. Thanks! We require a print design to be utilized both in (1) a full-page convention catalog (roughly 8"x10") and as (2) a poster (4'x8') - we don't require two images, just two output versions of the same image. The catalog image will be in grayscale with a single additional color and the poster will be in full color. PART ONE: Here are the details for the full-page ad: Your full-page ad will be in two colors, black and PMS 308 (Dark Teal). The line screen is 150. The publication size is 8 3/8” by 10 7/8”. Full bleeds are acceptable. The following are the only acceptable formats for your ad: Application formats - High resolution PDF, JPEG, TIFF, or Illustrator EPS. InDesign, Pagemaker, Quark, Illustrator, or Adobe Acrobat files are also acceptable. Photoshop may be used but files won’t necessarily color separate. PDF files must have embedded fonts, be 300 dpi, and use print resolution settings. Application formats other than those listed cannot be accepted. Either Mac or PC files are acceptable. (Fonts, logos, photos and graphics [tiff, dcs or eps] used in the ad must be included and a laser or PDF proof of the ad is required.) PART TWO: Here are the specifications for the poster: Haven't yet been provided, except that it will be full color and 4-feet wide by 8-feet tall. Assume that the output formats will be the same as listed above. OVERALL: Since the catalog page will be mostly black&white with accents in teal, the teal should make the elements it is used in pop. It might be easier to work from the poster in full color, then convert it to grayscale and add the teal to desired elements.
Theme as provided by conference hosts: "We will be highlighting the conference is “going national.” The exhibit hall theme will be Road Trip Across the Nation. Use the road trip theme or perhaps choose a national destination for your décor as part of the theme if you would like." We are a Florida-only work comp defense law firm and do not have a national presence. We envision the theme applying to our needs in the following way, "All National Companies who do business in Florida need a reliable work comp defense firm IN Florida, we are that firm". We have considered a more specific theme of "all roads lead to Florida" but are completely open to suggestions that fulfill our goal of showing that we are the destination and can represent both Florida and non-Florida businesses' work comp defense needs IN Florida. In past years our graphics have always incorporated Trent Miller, our managing partner. This is preferred but not mandatory. We have uploaded our past year's catalog and poster graphics for reference but none of them should guide submissions. We are not looking to repeat any theme or style we've used in the past, except for including our logo in the design. Our logo is also provided and our contact info is as follows: Miller & Miller, P.L. Law Firm of Trent D. Miller 9040 Town Center Parkway Bradenton, FL 34202 941-487-3662 www.trentmiller.com FYI: We are in the process of establishing an 800# that will replace or supplement our local number. Concepts we would like to convey include: strength, stability, reliability, - so elements including granite, construction, columns, Greek architecture, etc. are worth considering as guidelines. In our experience, national corporate clientele are drawn to those more conservative elements. Putting a creative spin on them is welcome - keeping in mind that it is a traditional-minded audience, We expect a more positive response from traditional legal themes. No preference from our view for complex vs. simple design. FINAL SUMMARY: Your concept should incorporate the theme of strength in a Florida workers' compensation defense law firm seeking to appeal to an audience of both in-state and national companies who need to hire law firms to defend their workers' compensation cases. Please write with questions or clarifications. Thanks!
