Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We own a dog-themed ecommerce business, with a focus on jewelry products.
The target customers are women, of all ages (but particularly 40s through 60s), who are passionate about their dogs. They are middle- and upper-middle income, not wealthy, but are willing to splurge on super cute dog-themed jewelry.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are open as to whether you would create a necklace, earring, bracelet, pin/broach, or ring. We want the jewelry to be extremely cute, and very compelling — so that a dog lover who sees a picture of one thinks “Oh that is so cute I have to have one!"
You don’t need to worry about materials - the manufacturer can help to figure that out - just the concept and the basic look of the jewelry.
From this contest we will select a winning designer who will provide at least three different jewelry designs as part of this project. Our goal from this project is to then work with that designer in creating roughly 10-20 additional jewelry designs as a separate project, and then some subsequent designs periodically.
We would like designs that are original and that are not focused on any one specific breed of dog.
