Designerbike got their new other graphic design by running a design contest:
e-Moto needs a new bicycle graphic design

e-Moto, LLC. is a producer and seller of mid to high-end electric bicycles in North America. As electric bicycles are an emerging market, it took us a couple years to focus in on our clientele. Traditionally, most e-bikes are either European or Chinese style due to market share. e-Moto being a market leader is now producing a newly engineered line of electric bicycles to better suit the North American market.
What's your vision?
Our market clientele is generally "Baby Boomers" (40~65 years of age) and more affluent customer that is looking or an extra boost. Our customers usually are not cyclist and are looking either for an alternative to a second car, or just trying to get a little extra exercise recreationally. Primarily a male customer base, we also have a growing number of women who are recently purchasing e-bikes. We really need to have the bike graphics that are classy, sophisticated, and genderless. The bike graphics will be water transfer sticker on top of wet (automotive style) paint, followed by a clear gloss coat. At this time, we are only using one color paint per frame. However, we encourage the water transfer sticker (your design) to be multiple color schemes. We would like to see different tubing wraps and fades in both artwork and lettering, covering many portions of the frame and possibly the front forks. The color of the bike is as shown and is not open to change. Attached are some examples of graphics designs we like currently available in the cycling industry. Generally speaking, the company name (e-Moto) reads on the down-tube and the bike model name (Daytona) reads either on the top-tube or the seat-tube, and the head tube badge can be either (EM) for e-Moto, (e-) or the entire name (e-Moto.) Google these bicycle frame tubing terms if you do not know what they mean. Our tubing sizes are as follows: -Head Tube: 50~75mm tapered round and approximately 160mm long -Top Tube: 35mm round and approximately 575mm long -Down Tube: 50mm round and approximately 600mm long -Seat Tube: 38mm round and approximately 450mm long -Seat Stays: 22mm round and approximately 550mm long -Chain Stays: 22mm round and approximately 450mm long -Wheelbase center of axle to axle is 1250mm Please note: what we “do not” want to see is a just an interesting e-Moto font placed in the center of the bicycle frame’s down-tube. Anyone can do that! We need your graphic design to take our bikes to the next level and make them stand out and sell through on a crowded showroom floor.
Winning bid is for the first bike the "e-Moto Daytona" There may be a possibility of an additional $200 per bike for additional models coming out soon. Perhaps 5~6 new models over the next few months. Winner to submit properly sized files in .eps format.
