We had several great designs, but this designer met our needs from the beginning. The designer was very quick to reply to all communications and make changes as requested. We appreciate your abilities and collaborative efforts to create the logo we love."

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our business is at the intersection of three elements: major U.S. spectator sports (baseball, football, basketball); collectibles (primarily trading cards); and financial markets.
ThePit.com is the only marketplace for sports collectibles that offers constantly updated “Buy” and “Sell” prices on over 5,000 popular "rookie cards" in all the major sports – as well as an expanding inventory of the finest vintage cards. This allows dealers, investors, speculators and fantasy sports enthusiasts to trade cards like stocks. ThePit has brokered over $46 million in sports card transactions since it was founded in 2000.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

Other color requirements
No; we use green shades currently but are not wedded to the color.

Please browse our active website (ThePit.com) to get a better feel for what we do. We are beginning an overall site re-write and re-design, so the new logo will be used to set the tone for a new look throughout. Trading cards is a slowly dying hobby, with most of our customers in the 35 to 65 age range. We believe that the booming Daily Fantasy Sports market (FanDuel.com, DraftKings.com) is capturing the type of younger customers we would love to attract -- passionate and knowledgeable about sports, and excited about using their knowledge to make money speculating on the achievements of their favorite athletes. The successful logo design will be the one which we feel most completely conveys the excitement of sports combined with stock market-type investing/speculation. We don't particularly dislike the current logo (the shape of which is meant to represent a rectangular trading card), but we do believe that it is outdated. You should work from a clean slate as we are eager to consider "outside the box" concepts. The scrolling "ticker tape" on our website is probably the most distinctive element of our site, but we don't know if it can or should be incorporated into a logo.
