**** Baby elephant photo reference ****
*** and here's a "what NOT to do" unMood Board ***
*Updated thoughts after seeing the first round of logos*
- The key idea here is the *contrast* of playful with a strong feeling of "TRIUMPH!" : the feeling that you just climbed a mountain and shout "I made it!!!!!"
- So the baby elephant is playful, while it's *pose*, background, and typeface should speak to TRIUMPH.
- I like entries where the character and typography feel more solidly part of the same piece.
I'm a 10 year video game design veteran (I've worked with Naughty Dog, Double Fine, Telltale Games, Electronic Arts, and Oculus) working to ship my first indie computer and virtual reality game this year, and I'm looking for a strong yet playful character logo for my new studio: Triumphant Games
I'm looking for a logo that:
Gives a strong sense of *Joyful Triumph* - the satisfaction of doing something hard, but also playfulness - our games cater to a wide audience, like classic Nintendo games.
Features a character - I imagine a baby elephant raising its trunk and trumpeting triumphantly at the world (or possibly holding a flag or trumpet over it's head, or finishing climbing a mountain).
*Note* I will be thinking how I could incorporate the logo into an animation in the future, so appreciate a design that could be broken down into layers.
How will this logo be used?
Game Title screens, trailers: I want to build brand identity as I market my upcoming game
Web presence: I own triumphantgames.com and triumphant.games and will use the logo there and on social media
Conventions: I need a logo that can stand out of the crowd in an expo convention hall like PAX
Contracting / consulting: Triumphant Games will represent me as I consult with other companies in the future
I'm just commissioning a logo for now, but will be looking for 1-to-1 options for web design and social presence design, as well as additional logos and graphic design to promote my upcoming game.
Thanks and I can't wait to see what you come up with!
