Rebranding Our Logo For Pet Care Facility

Empowered Pet Care
Animal & Pet
We at Petropolis have been working hard on a rebrand in conjunction with building out our second location. Our hope is that we can strengthen our brand so that we have a strong foundation as we move forward with franchising. Petropolis is a pet care facility that offers doggy daycare; dog and cat boarding; dog and cat grooming; and dog training. Our outdoor play areas are state-of-the-art and different from anything else in our area. Our current location boasts a dogs-only water park, and our new location will feature rolling hills, a stream, and a waterfall. We would like to design a logo based on our brand of Pet Empowerment, the practice of raising confident, active-thinking pets by letting them make their own decisions when safe and practical and by using force-free training methods. We do not use any punishment-based methods (like pinch or shock collars), but instead allow pets to avoid situations in which they feel anxious or afraid. We allow dogs to be dogs and cats to be cats, and we encourage their natural instincts while helping them function in a human-driven world. Our new brand identity is built to reflect this. In terms of a logo, we are hoping for something simple that can be used in different ways. We need something that can say our full name and tagline (Petropolis: Empowered Pet Care), just our name (Petropolis), and an image that is still recognizable when separate from the name (to use as our favicon, profile image on social media, etc.). Our current logo (https://www.petropolis.com/) is a dog and cat silhouette next to the name “Petropolis.” We like that structure, but we would like our logo to be more in line with Pet Empowerment and our icon/image to be more recognizable. We prefer flat colors and a modern look. We would like our logo to use both of our company colors (#2F9095 and #CD5E22). The turquoise is our main color, and the burnt orange is an accent. We need an image/logo that can stand alone in black and white if need be (think overlaying a white logo over a photo, etc.). The only thing we know for sure we do not want is a large image with our name underneath. We’d prefer the image the side of our name instead of sitting on top of it. We prefer horizontal logos.
