Update: 19-06-20: Thanks for all efforts so far, sorry but nothing has struck me as perfect yet but I can maybe add a few general comments from what I have seen: If using a picture of a dog - a lot of images so far I would consider quite traditional whereas I really want something bold and modern. Simple outline drawings as well I don't think stand out how I want the logo to, so if that's the direction I think it almost needs some action or expression eg. tilted face, or ears up listening just for example. I'm not saying those things in particular just don't really like the simple profile outlines. Incorporating map pointers in someway or arrows I think makes sense for the type of site so I like this as an idea I just haven't seen any perfect way that it's done yet. Fonts - from what I have seen I definitely prefer the sans serif styles or bolder, stronger fonts as opposed to thin or serif. I think leave the slogan out please, I think the logo and name is more important to be prominent and I'll figure out a way to compliment with the slogan depending on where I use the logo. Please, no paw prints. Thanks again! I've shown all the colours from my website, but not set on using the orange and tan, I put these there in case they are useful for your creativity and open to suggestions but the black and white colours would be my preference, with the black the background. I have put the slogan there, but it is not essential that this is used in the logo. I like illustration, line drawings, symbolism and negative space, but whilst I'm happy for dog illustration design of some sort I don't want it to look kiddy. Rather sophisticated - I am English so don't mind any English stereotypes such as monocles, top hats, etc but not essential just giving ideas could equally be more fun without being childish. For the name of the company I have no preference if the 'and' is the word or an ampersand. If a dog is in the design, the site is built around my dog which is a Rhodesian ridgeback so rather that breed look as opposed to other breeds. Please, no paw prints. The website is in construction at the moment but I have attached a few screenshots to give you an idea - ignore the current logo/brand/picture that is just a placeholder until I can get a proper one.
