How NeuroTiming started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We provide a free iPhone app to people to test their mental sharpness and brain timing or what we call "Neurotiming." The app downloads a 30-second test that asks people to tap their mousepad precisely to a beat, and this measures the brain's ability to focus and process information. It can predict focus, attention, even innate music and athletic abilities. It is called "neurotiming" because it measures timing in the brain, which helps with executive function and brain processing speed. We want this app to go viral and be engaging and fun for people to take. The goal is to get as many people to download the app and take the test, then send it to their friends to try. "Challenge a friend" to see if they can match or beat your score. Target Audience is anyone interested in testing their mental sharpness, sports abilities, musical abilities, etc.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Games & Recreational
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Let designers make suggestions:
Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The logo will be used as the image that you will see when you download the app to your iPhone. Therefore it needs to be eye catching and concise. Please design the logo so that it looks like it would work well for this application. A simple yet concise image, the word 'neurotiming' can be written below it the way you would see the app on the iPhone (for example look at UBER when you download it). The word neurotiming can be added to the logo, but it should be able to be separated for the app logo for iPhone. On a website we could keep them together. If this does not make sense email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To find out more about neurotiming visit http://www.neurotiming.com. However, the look and feel of this site does not match what we are trying to accomplish. It will just explain a bit more about what neurotiming does. The test currently on the website does not have look and feel of the test we will download either, it will be much more engaging and have a 'lighter" feel to it. We want a viral app that people like to use to test their mental fitness and focus skills, and then challenge friends to take the test. Therefore it cannot look too 'serious.'
