*Please note I feel the sliders are not the best thing to look at, I would ignore them if possible and read below:
ROUGH LOGO DESCRIPTION
******* I like the attached logos, particularly "ex1" (the orange one,) because of it's utility. The single "M" is used for things like Twitter, YouTube - things with a square profile picture, while the full logo, "Mineplex" is used on a website and where else appropriate. However, please note I am only interested in this logo mainly because of it's utility. I will mention this again later. I want artwork in our logo. With the word "banana" in it, I definitely want some sort of banana incorporated into it. I think it makes our logo feel fun. At the same time, it's very important that it in no way could look phallic, because this is a kid-friendly server and we do not want to scare away their parents. I think the banana should definitely have some sort of artistic interpretation to it. I think it would be cool to have the banana fit a Minecraft theme. *** For example, one thing I thought of was to take the Minecraft pickaxe (an iconic tool in the game, linked below as "minecraft_pickaxe.jpg") and replace the blue part with a banana. It's silly, but I think something like that would really stick in the head of a Minecraft player because every time they use that Minecraft tool - which is nearly all the time - they might think of the MineBanana server. How great would it be to take something that all Minecraft players use in the normal game and associate that with our Minecraft server? PLEASE NOTE: If you were to do this "banana pickaxe," you cannot use content from Minecraft, like the pickaxe attached - it's copyrighted, and an artistic interpretation is better anyway! Lastly, as mentioned with the orange logo, whatever art is done should flow with our logo, perhaps quite literally attached to the text, or maybe above it, in it, etc. This way, like the orange logo, we could "take out" a part of it to use elsewhere.
* I think this idea of infusing the artwork with the text is interesting, but it is by NO means the only thing I am looking for. We don't HAVE to have this "take out" utility.
