Excellent responsive designer who couldn't do more to help find the design we were looking for.
CrankyBear (Paul) has been awesome to work with! He is extremely talented and accomodating to all requests which we made of him. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anybody looking for design services.
Thank you Paul for the great work!
How brevitext started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We write short, inexpensive e-books that teach MBA (Masters in Business Administration) concepts. We are the anti-textbooks. We cater to a younger demographic who prefer to pay a few dollars to learn about a concept like "Supply and Demand" rather than paying several hundred dollars to buy a several-hundred page textbook on "Accounting." So, while we would like the logo to look clean and professional, we would like a younger, sleeker, more modern look that differentiates from school textbook covers, and is consistent with a shorter, more informally-written book.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
1. This logo will go not only on our website, but also on e-book covers, so high resolution is key. (Kindle book covers are currently 1563 x 2500 pixels but would like some room to grow).
2. We are currently publishing these books using our company name and logo Brevitext. That logo can be found at http://www.brevitext.com ... We now want to publish under the moniker "MBA Buster" for clearer branding. Here is a link to one of our currently-published books whose cover will switch over to the new logo design: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0050CKHVK
3. Haven't seen anyone in the first round go with a mascot/character mentioned in this design brief, but I would like to see this explored. Given the whimsical nature of this product, what about a Dog? "Buster" could therefore be a double-entendre for Buster the Dog (who knows business), and the fact that the series helps students "bust" business concepts!
