As the name implies, I want to start a little massage business. It's about wellness massages, not sports massages. Imagine entering an oriental massage room, where you can expect a sensual massage to leave all the stress behind you. I (had) a specific logo idea: A massage table from the side, covered by a linen. The linen is in movement (imagine wind coming from the front). The idea behind this logo: The linen (which is in movement) symbolizes "peace of mind", "floating in another world", "flying mind", "effortlessness"... Meanwhile, I got some logos where such a massage table is visible but they have been too "detailed", too "realistic". While seeing these logos, I came to the conclusion that I prefer a much more abstract realization of this idea. However, it's only an idea. I don't really want to have this idea realized. Meanwhile, I'm far less focused on this idea than when I started the contest. It's only a logo suggestion. I guess the most important tip I can give is to come up with a design that you like too. Design the logo in a way you are used the design logos. You know where you have your strengths. Although I am not a designer at all, I somehow have a certain feeling for "quality" due to all the designs I have seen in my life. Abstract vs real: I prefer abstract. Abstract but it should still represent something, if possible. It's ok if it needs a second look to understand it. I like designs that make me want to understand them, too. Angled vs curved/rolling: I prefer curved/rolling designs (unfortunately I don't really have the right English term for it. However, Imagine the opposite of a straight line). It's about massage, it's about flowing movements. It's about infinity, not about stops and 90° turns. Color: I haven't decided yet which colors I want to choose for my (not yet existing) website. However, my suggestion is to come up with a b/w logo as I am pretty sure I will use a big background image on my landing page (logo will be placed on top of this image; of course I will have to make sure the logo is easily visible, i.e. doesn't lose the battle against the background image). ;)

Please do not submit multiple versions of your logo, unless I ask for it (I will give you feedback if I like it, don't worry). You will not increase your chances to win by submitting multiple versions of the same logo, in contrary, it's annoying when receiving multiple logos with different colors or only small changes. Please do not ask for feedback. If I like a design, I will definitely give you feedback. I suggest submitting 1 (or 2) logos, and waiting for my rating/feedback. I will give feedback from tomorrow (September 4, from 6pm European Time). If you submit an abstract logo, please explain your ideas behind it in few words. In my last contest, I received multiple abstract logo designs but without explanation. It was annoying because I had to ask most of the designers about the thoughts behind it. Please be proactive in this scenario. Because someone was asking: the business is located in Switzerland (Zurich).
