What's your vision?
Tagline: N/A. Desired Color Scheme: Refer to examples of logos. Desired Style: Refer to examples of logos. Accepted File Formats: PSD, vector, any other you can provide. HostingDiscussion.com is trying something new, and as such, the community requires new presence. We are looking to acquire an identity that is identifiable. In other words, it shall stand for our core business and beneficial and informational value we serve. The logo will eventually become part of the soul of our community. We will use it often and when appropriate: website, newsletter, tools, services, banners, graphical elements, etc. We expect it to be delivered in flexible formats that would help us work with it in future. Please produce an example on both white and black backgrounds. Winner is expected to provide all necessary material, including font(s) and other files used. Think of how popular companies and media resources have utilized the logo on their sites. Think of how it might look on a business card (this contest does not require a production of one). I intentionally do not wish to provide details as to what my vision for the community is in my experience, the greatest creative minds have always impressed me with their true understanding of the genetics in a particular job. As such, I will only mention that I am building a new type of media resource using the latest technological standards in order to provide valuable and serious information for serious users. And information is only as good as it looks. I have exercised my right to invite some of my favorite designers I found at SitePoint to take part in this contest. PRIZE: $400 USD (PayPal, Cheque, Credit Card preferred.) SECOND-CHANCE POLICY: It is possible that in future (even after the end of contest) I might change my mind about the winning logo. In such case, I might contact another logo contestant and offer him a sum for using the logo so it will NOT be wasted. I promise to provide direct feedback that will actually mean something. No raw thank you for your submission, please try something else type of responses. To give you ideas, directions and inspiration, I selected these logos as my favorites for everything they stand for: personality, communication and quality. http://www.pixairline.com/album_folder.php?u_id=4EGiHb&f_id=220 If you are planning on making a submission, please PM me first for some bonus material that will help you understand HostingDiscussion.com your client, better. This will also show me that you actually took the time to read through this brief. Good luck. Artashes Toumanov
