CPAR is a not-for-profit organization providing free legal, educational, mentoring and advocacy services to amateur athletes with respect to their rights to participate in athletic events ranging from youth, school, and college sports to world championship and Olympic level competition. CPAR is a similar concept to Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
Logo types to explore
We do not anticipate the need for business cards, but will use the logo on stationery, a website and eventually online and possibly printed newsletters and brochures. We also anticipate using the logo in printed advertisements and onscreen or on lecterns during webcasts of educational programs. We would like the logo to look good both in color and in black and white. We would like the logo or design to incorporate both the CPAR acronym and the full name of the organization: "The Center for the Protection of Athletes' Rights." Also, I think the Board would like a visual reference to sports in the logo. Original work only, please. No stock images or artwork or third party licenses. We require exclusive rights to the design in perpetuity. Thank you. Here is the CPAR mission statement: THE CENTER FOR THE PROTECTION OF ATHLETES’ RIGHTS, INC. MISSION STATEMENT The Center for the Protection of Athletes’ Rights, Inc. (“CPAR”) is a not-for-profit organization founded in the spring of 1994. CPAR seeks to protect and increase the opportunities for nonprofessional athletes to participate in sports activities. The organization’s goals are being achieved through information gathering and dissemination, legal research, educational programs, mentorship and advocacy. CPAR is designed to be a guardian angel of the rights of non-professional athletes. The organization plans to have a national scope within the next five years by providing legal educational programs for volunteer lawyers from around the country. Specifically, CPAR is creating an online library of amateur sports rules and regulations, and is planning to publish a newsletter. The organization is planning to host informational programs for amateur athletes, legal educational programs for attorneys and provide mentorship programs for students and athletes. CPAR’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board consist of executives from the sports and business industries, lawyers, coaches, athletes and sports enthusiasts. All bring to the organization a desire to support the activities of amateur athletes.
