Company name: The BeingWell (The T, B & W all in Caps)
Website: http://www.thebeingwell.org (this is work in progress but
will give you an idea). Please see for current 'feel' of the
organisation. You might notice that the image of splashing water is
in the form of a human being!
Possible logo idea: BeingWell, has the double meaning of wellbeing and
also a wellspring of being (or human potential). I would love the
design to play to his double meaning effectively if possible. Perhaps
splashing water in the form of a human being (similar to website)?
Maybe a water well or wishing well? Perhaps an image of a person
drawn from a well? Maybe a human figure reflected in a pool? Almost
as if the well is made of vital beings. I have included some well
logos below, which I can imagine could be developed with my own ideas
in mind. But these aren’t necessarily prescriptive ideas – I’d
be interested in other concepts too that a design
professional can advise me on.
In a nutshell - the design needs to be elegant in its simplicity and
immediate i.e. the customer can see in a second that the organisation
is about mindful wellbeing. If the double meaning of 'being well' can
be simply put across - that would be great. But I'm not sure how easy
this is to do.
Style - I'd prefer simple but elegant. Not child-like cartoon.
Something that shows artistic flair but is also immediate (not
design). To show human elegance emerging from a still contemplative
What I don't want: Please not someone meditating or anything too
new-age like as the service attracts mostly finance professionals
(needing to re-energise and unwind). Also clients are equally from
both sexes so nothing that's too gender-biased. Please can the logo
colours work on the website e.g. The blue logo be able to stand out
from the blue background of the site. See:
Core descriptive words for brand: Wellbeing, simplicity, serious,
gender-neutral, resilience and calmness, energy and stability,
tranquil and dynamic.
Fonts on website: Syncopate and open sans semibold. Any fonts that
work well with these would be great.
Colours: The main colours on the website (http://www.thebeingwell.org)
are blue and orange (colour refs given below). The logo might or
not have these colours. Either way, the logo must be able to work
well with these colours. If these colours are used, please can there
be more blue with touches of orange (otherwise it's much too garishly

Additional requirements: Please also give me any additional costs for
developing variations of any logo I agree to. As well as having a
colourful logo, I might consider altering it slightly for different
uses. So, perhaps with and without a strapline, in just black or just
white, or perhaps having the logo against a white background and a
variation on a transparent background. I don’t know which
variations or how many I’ll need until I see the basic design. But
an indication of extra costs for doing this would be great.
