Our golf course has a lot of trees, mostly redwood. Current logo tree isn't really a redwood (I think we stole Stanford's logo). We were founded in 1913 and that's a source of pride. We are up in the Oakland Hills and some really good views of the SF bay, but that's less important. The other Oakland Club (Claremont Country Club) has a tree and founding year logo, so this is kind of copying them, which is sub optimal, but its so simple and clean. I guess the goal simple and clean, if we can get a tree great, if if we can get the year, great, if we can incorporate something about golf (like a golf tee trunk), great. We're not stuck with a square/circular logo. Tendency is to one color, again simple and clean.
