Pawaite got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for the Stubborn Fool Adventure Race
Check out Pawaite's Logo design contest…
180 Adventure is an event promoter that hosts adventure races. Adventure races can be thought of as a team off-road triathlon in which teams of 1, 2, 3, or 4 people mountain bike, run/trek, and paddle using only a map and compass to guide them. We will be putting on a new event next spring called the Stubborn Fool and would like like a logo designed for use on our promotional materials (website, brochures, and apparel).
Logo types to explore
Our vision is for the logo to be an image of the Stubborn Fool Adventure Racer. He might look like this: a guy riding his mountain bike no-handed, holding a huge map open with one hand which blocks his view of the road, compass hanging off his bike helmet in front of his face, gu packet/granola bar hanging out of his mouth. He has a row of gel packets taped on the top tube of his bike, running shoes strapped to a rack on the back of bike, wearing an orange horse collar PDF, and bike helmet with a headlamp strapped onto it. He has a kayak paddle tied to the top tube of his bike. Maybe he's wearing a big pack on his back, unzipped and stuff is sticking out all over- extra bottles, rain jacket, roll of duct tape, socks, an extra compass, batteries, hydration bladder, first aid kit, etc. Because he is not paying attention to his surroundings, he has just ridden past the orienteering flag (control punch hanging from it) that he was looking for. Perhaps his team is behind him, trying to get his attention and pointing to the flag. I've included images of a typical compass, orienteering marker and control punch for reference.
