The café “Au Cheval d'Or” is a Belgian family-run establishment known for its warm atmosphere, strong local roots, and welcoming spirit. Run by a father (Carl) and his son (Brice), with the help of their server (Julien), the café is an essential part of neighborhood life. It is also an ambassador for Orval beer, which attracts a loyal clientele of beer enthusiasts and lovers of authentic, friendly places. The goal of this project is to create an original and festive logo for the café’s Christmas sweater, which will be: - Sold to customers so they can wear it during the “Christmas Sweater Day” held at the café in a cheerful, holiday atmosphere. - Used as a way to raise funds for the charity “Viva For Life,” which supports children living in poverty in Belgium. This is why the “Viva For Life” Christmas bauble must be included in the logo, as a symbol of solidarity and the festive spirit. Target audience: - Regular customers of the café (average age 40 to 70 years) - Families, friends, and colleagues wishing to take part in a local charitable initiative Anyone proud to wear a unique, local, and meaningful Christmas sweater This project combines community spirit, Christmas cheer, solidarity, and a touch of local humor. Objective: Create a festive, readable, and printable logo for the front of a Christmas sweater (max A4 size), representing the Café "Au Cheval d'Or", its owners, and partners. The logo will be used for the café's holiday season commercial promotion, in a warm, local, family-friendly, and distinctly Belgian spirit. Preferred Graphic Style: Vector-style logo illustration, clean and simple Maximum 3 to 4 colors (no more), ideally following the color code of the existing “Au Cheval d’Or” logo (provided as reference) and red for the Christmas spirit (the Viva for Life ball must remain red) knowing that the sweater in the background will be dark (navy blue, green, or burgundy) Vintage style, line-drawing type (inspired by the “Chez Mariette” t-shirt) Must look good when flocked or printed on fabric Avoid: fine details, clutter Front of the sweater – elements to include in the logo: 1.
