How odarb7 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
UE / Ultimate Edge
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
"A gravity sport company”
Ultimate Edge is a gravity sport company focusing mainly in skydiving and speed flying but I will be branching out into downhill mountain biking as well.
I will be running some events with the company, selling apparel but the main reason for the companies existence is to support and sponsor athletes.
The major focus is high performance canopy flight (Flying Very small parachutes). Common name for the sport is "swooping" or "canopy piloting". Its fast paced extreme sport.
A large percentage of the profits made selling the branded clothing will be used to sponsor the athletes in the sport and support amateurs that have high potential but low funding, so they can reach there full potential and compete in national / international events where they will help me promote the brand.
This is a company created by a canopy pilot for canopy pilots, so the symbol needs to look edgey "cool" something that people will want to wear.
I've attached what Ive come up with so far in the way of a logo / branding. I like the style of font that I have its called "What the fun"
I want to be able to split the logo and name like in these examples
Ive been told that the symbol by its self is a bit hard to read and figure out what it is - There is plenty of companies around with the same sort of thing going on so I dont really care about that so much but want the opinion of a group of designers so this is why Im here :)
