Foundry Archery got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a beautiful logo for an Archery Encyclopaedia

Do not incorporate slogans or tag lines.
ArroWiki is an Archery equipment encyclopaedia/reference website that I am in the process of building. It will host a variety of information, guides, photos, tutorials etc etc all related to the sport of Archery. Name is a merging of the words arrow and wiki. Archery is a sport that appeals to all ages, both male and female so there's no specific target audience.
Other color requirements
I don't really have much preference where colour is concerned. The website is still in the process of being built and a final design and look hasn't been finalised so the site can be adapted to the colours and theme created by the logo. Avoid red where possible. Blues, Greens, Greys/blacks, whites are all favourable. The number of colours used should be kept to a minimum and should appeal to a more mature audience.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Foundry Archery collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
