Deep Impact Performance
Windy City Baseball Tournaments is an event management company that creates elite baseball tournaments.
Windy City Baseball Tournaments is headquartered in Chicago Illinois. Chicago is known as "the windy city" but it doesn't have anything to do with actual wind. Thus, we do not want to see logos that incorporate wind. Instead, we would like to incorporate the Chicago skyline, most notably the Willis Tower (Sears Tower), into the design. Due to the length of the name, we are interested in seeing designs that use either the full name or it's acronym (WCBT). Our reservation of using WCBT is that it not look/feel like a radio station call sign. Each year there are a series of 3-10 tournaments held in the Chicago area. Each tournament takes place over 1-3 days. The tournaments are for 15-18 year old boys. The tournaments attract college and professional scouts looking to recruit players. Highly skilled, the players are considered to be elite in their play and may have opportunities to workout/train with Major League Baseball team/players. With the logo design we are trying to accomplish a few things... 1. Appeal to teenage baseball players, their coaches and parents. 2. Flexibility that allows the logo to be adapted for multiple tournaments. For example http://www.greatermidwestbaseball.com/images/2018_GMB_The_Nationals_flipper.gif 3. Transferable to digital and print, so that the logo can be placed on shirts, hats, plaques, trophies etc. We want the logo to be something that they're proud to wear. Due to the nature of the business and tournaments, we want a single logo for the business and in the future we'll incorporate that into "tournament logos" like the example above.
