Great to work with and very responsive! I had many edits and I never felt like I was being a bother. I was heard and provided exactly what I wanted. Look forward to working with this designer again for future projects!

How David Wagg started their logo & business card journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I develop strategy/puzzle games (PC & mobile) for students aged 13-18. I aim to entertain, but also increase understanding of science.
I'm not trying to stuff a textbook into a video game. I'm picking a few important scientific ideas that fit well to game mechanics.
The central message I wish to convey is that my games have value as pure entertainment - but there is also an opportunity to learn.
To students this could be a way of doing two things at once, learning something just by playing a game. For parents, this could be a way to spark an interest in science for kids who aren't otherwise academic.
This is a start-up so there is no existing branding, you have a blank slate to work with.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Games & Recreational
Other color requirements
White background, black text. Green and purple might work for the design. But I'm open to suggestions.

The logo will be used primarily online and in-game. Ideally I'd like to have it incorporate a design that works on its own as an icon or abbreviated mark, but this is not essential.
To save you googling it, 'recombinant' is a term from biology best explained by example. If you have a plant with tasty fruit, and another that can survive cold weather, you might cross them to produce a plant with both characteristics - a recombinant. It is usually used in the context of recombinant DNA or organisms.
I'm looking forward to seeing your designs!
