Attorney & Law
ABOUT US: Thank you for taking the time to participate in our design contest! Janik Bohmer LLP is newly established law firm focusing on business law, litigation, intellectual property, and probate. A small but growing portion of our business involves establishing NFA Firearms Trusts for our client. We are committed to fostering a long-term relationships with our clients through personalized attention. No matter is too big or too small—if the issue is important to you, it’s important to us. For over 10 years, Glenn Janik has been an award-winning trial lawyer who has litigated for and against some of the biggest companies in the country. He has tried cases both Texas and Federal court, and litigated cases throughout the country—from New York City to Dallas to Los Angeles. But, after all of these years, he saw something that just wasn’t right: “I saw too many examples of a client’s needs taking a back seat to a law firm’s quest for profits. The Janik Bohmer LLP was founded as a response to this problem. Our goal is to restore the attorney-client relationship to a place where the attorney is the client’s trusted confidant; where an attorney’s profit is derived from the quality of the relationship they foster with their clients.” Now, with Janik Bohmer LLP, he brings his “big case” expertise to clients looking for better value and quality in their legal services. The goal of Janik Bohmer LLP is not only to provide its clients with world-class legal work, but to also build a long-lasting relationship with its clients. This is accomplished through paying special attention to the needs of the client, and helping clients solve their problems in the most efficient and effective manner.

OBJECTIVE: We are creating a brand and seek a firm logo that is simple, clean, modern and iconic. Our design should communicate confidence, integrity, and luxury, draw from architecture and fashion (rather than the "traditional", literal or conservative designs often associated with the legal industry - i.e. please no scales of justice or gavels) and should look good on business cards, letterhead and our website. Vector EPS artwork is preferred. Creative use of dimension/depth, color and font types is a plus. Have fun and good luck! OUR FIRM: When clients are considering our firm, we would like them to think of concepts like creativity, strength, security, success, knowledge, solutions, determination and resourcefulness. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A WINNING DESIGN: The following are merely ideas to bring this brand to life - they are by no means limitations. If you've got something that you think we should consider - please submit it. We promise to consider all submissions and will laugh at no one. ICONS (generally): Currently we are leaning towards submission that are more name based, rather than icon based - please take a look at the examples provided to see what we mean. However, by no means are we opposed to having an abstract symbol or icon used in our logo just so long as it follows the above criteria. That said, what "icons" may be possibilities for us? We know that we don't want the traditional court gavel or scales of justice. Something universal - demonstrating global solutions, light, strength, ingenuity or power. COLOR: Picking 1 or 2 strong (or distinguishing) colors will help establish our brand (i.e. Mountain Dew is always green and red; Home Depot is always orange and white; Coke is always Red and white). We are leaning toward a color scheme with blues, grays, whites, orange, and possibly greens as the primary colors although we are not necessarily tied to any of these. We are willing to give anything a try. We're not a stuffy, old mahogany and brass law firm - we want to show we're modern, creative, clean and sophisticated. FONT: Same concept as our comments on color above. Picking a distinguishing font may help us establish that "brand" through repetitive use in the legal field (think Coke's cursive font or the Nike slant – although we would prefer no cursive). Again, perhaps not… Let's give it a try and see what we can come up with. A good example of contrasting fonts and colors that we like is the “She Knows” logo depicted in the examples, although we would prefer a much more masculine logo. Playing off this, we would like to see at least one example in which the tittle (thanks “Pawn Stars”) or dot above the “i” in “Janik” uses the same color as in “Bohmer “ with contrasting fonts. "ECLIPSE" ICON Internally, we like designs that are "forward looking". A good example of this is the Bryan Cave logo depicted in the examples. Maybe this requires the use of an eclipse, maybe not. Play with it and have fun. Thanks again for your efforts - we'll be checking on progress regularly. Please feel free to submit any questions to us. We're more than pleased to respond as quickly as possible. Good luck!
