Mauro Jaurena was amazing to work with. From his multiple different design directions from the opening round, that led us to a direction we never would have come up with or imagined, clear through the final round where he was super responsive and extremely fast making any tweaks or changes we could think of to refine the idea. He gave extremely valuable feedback on the design perspective to what makes for a great logo and what to avoid. This was an amazing experience. We would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a creative, responsive and friendly (not to mention extremely patient) designer. Five Stars!!

My initial concept is to have the word "RUNEGATE" written in pseudo-Germanic runes as shown in the attached crude rendering. Another attached image shows what "RUNEGATE" would look like written entirely in the Germanic runes used by the "Ultima" games. Just the word itself, nicely drawn, will suffice for the logo (perhaps glowing or with a background of some kind). I am open to other ideas or an expanded form of the logo, such as one that incorporates something a bit like the "magical rune gate into Moria" from Lord of the Rings (attached). The final attached "Portal" image may not be directly relevant to the logo, but it has a vibe similar to the vibe I want to create with the Runegate brand.
I'm definitely looking for something more serious/gritty/high fantasy in tone, not cartoony like many video game company logos are.
