Here are some landing pages I use currently that I need to replace because they kinda suck:
As you can see, I promote a variety of games (~25) so the landing page needs to be able to be used AND STILL LOOK GOOD when promoting DIFFERENT games. Specifically what I mean is, don't design the landing page around 1 particular game, because I'm going to reuse the landing page on a lot of games.
The landing page needs to have a soft, playful, TRUSTWORTHY feeling. The visitors need to land on it and immediately feel this is the type of site they can download games from. Remember my target audience are kids who may not be as tech savy or internet savy as us, they just want to download and play a game and don't want to download any viruses.

What to include on Landing Page:
There should be 2-3 download buttons placed throughout the page, 1 above the fold and should draw your attention, 2nd around the middle of page (just above the fold on a 1080p screen) and 3 button near the footer.
There should be 3-4 images which will be used to display screenshots of which ever game I'm promoting.
There should be a title/headline, and some text which will support the headline (Near the title and or download button).
There should be adequate room for an article about the game. The side should have an area to list a few features about the game.
And near the footer, again a final download/play button and a final closing argument statement (final push to get the user to download)
