Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The portion of our work relevant to this project is academic research.
This project is a figure/graphic relevant summarizing the factors that may contribute to bias in a forensic mental health evaluation (i.e., a psychological evaluation performed for the courts).
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need a figure that can summarize the many factors that can contribute to differences of opinion (perhaps bias) between opposing expert witnesses, after opposing attorneys select these experts for participation in a trial. So, we need a graphic that shows that there are initial expert differences, then attorneys select their preferred experts, who may then form opinions more consistent with the side that hired them.
This should be a graphic much like a flow chart. I have attached some examples that should illustrate parts of this, but I am hoping for a comprehensive graphic that could summarize all of these issues. The attached Word document conveys the general content for a flow chart. But the attached power point slides also convey two ideas I want to include: The first is selection effects (experts differ in important ways, and attorneys may select the expert most favorable to their case), but the second is allegiance effects (once selected, experts tend to form opinions more consistent with the side that hired them).
