Jan is an absolute life saver! Really appreciate the fast turn-around time and understanding my situation. The new design is AMAZING!

Dexter was by far the best designer that I've worked with on this platform. He read the brief carefully and understood exactly what we were trying to accomplish. Throughout the process, he remained flexible with providing alternatives and making revisions. Thank you :)
How Jessie Bee started their icon or button journey

We are a security app in Sao Paulo, Brazil, that allows residents to chat with their neighbors, while also getting tips and alerts on recent crimes in their neighborhoods.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I want an icon set designed for the app, plus an app logo button that you would see on the home screen of your smartphone.
Icons can be simple line icons or more detailed with color. If you do use color (we haven't decided on a color scheme yet and are interested in seeing compelling combinations), please keep it to a minimum of two or three colors. And of course the main App Icon should be in color.
The other icons will direct to the following app screens:
- Report an Incident
- See Recent Incidents
- Trend Alert
- Route Alert
- Family Alerts
- Security Checks
Please, nothing with the letter B against a solid background, unless the B itself is the design (i.e., don't just use a cool typeface; a design whose elements form a B would be ok. Get it?)
Also: All the designs I've received so far have shields in them and it's feeling a bit obvious, so please try to steer clear of using a shield unless it's super different. Also, if you take a look at security apps already out there, that's a common theme. Just one more reason I'd like to avoid them -- we want to stand out.
Thanks!!! Keep the designs coming. :)
The main vibe we want to give out is safety. Try to avoid a main icon that's menacing or aggressive -- that fits for a security app to scare away "bandidos" (portuguese for criminals), but that's not what we're going for. We want this to be a community-building app. In other words, if you use our product, you're taking a step toward making your family safe. Brazil is a dangerous place and so we really want to tap into the emotional need that people have to feel protected.
