Create a simple and modern app icon/logo for Navica

Travel & Hotel
Navica is a platform in which you can offer/find any kind of marine service: - rental (watersports equipment, boats...) - chartering (sail boat trips) - skippers (job offer) - schools (diving, windsurf, navigation…) - boat sharing - berth sharing - sightseeing - boat & breakfast - taxi - other
What's your vision?
We need an app icon for our iOS/Android app plus a logo. Object: - the object of this icon may be the "N" of Navica or a minimalistic wave, your choice. If you choose the "N" it must not be necessarily upper case... also n is ok, we would like to see a vector based, customized character, not one from a common text font (think about wish icon, vine, airb&b etc). If you choose the wave it must be minimalistic, I mean: if you find difficult to understand what it is :D that's not a problem, focus is on (in this precise order) elegance, singularity, simplicity. Style: - minimal and flat, or at least with some soft inner/outer shadows, no long shadows. - Semi-trasparency, overlappings and gradients are welcome. - it must be suitable also for our logo which will have the borderless (preferably) icon to the left and the name "navica" (preferably all lower case, with a nice sans font, thin, possibly with some distinctive custom traits) to the right, or only the name with the same custom font of the "N" in the app icon. Colors: - since services inside Navica are distinguished by color (10 different colors), you can opt for something colorful like the examples in the attached file. - otherwise use white and blue, Navica main color is "30AAEB" but feel free to pick a different blue, we can change it, no problem, also 2 different tonality for blue are welcome. Attached is a file which contains some examples of icons we like, that's the style we want in general. Finally feel free to break all these damned schemes and do something never seen before, we love oddities. :D
Sketch (bohemian coding) file preferred, otherwise any other vector format will be fine.

From the start, Arther gave me a great concept for the icon for my app, Porchswing. I enjoyed seeing the brainstorm sketches to illustrate his thought process. He really elevated the design by not giving a super literal interpretation of a porchswing, but a playful reference to a swing in the P of my icon. He was quick to respond and make the adjustments that I asked for. I am very happy with the result and would definitely recommend Arthur to others.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
