Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Brighton, UK is a lovely seaside town home to hundreds of pubs. We are undertaking the challenge to choose ONLY 54 of these wonderful establishments to feature on a deck of cards. This is for anyone and everyone who might like to have a unique souvenir playing card deck from Brighton, as well as dedicated pub enthusiasts.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are making a deck of cards which will feature a different pub on the front of each card. We need the back surface of the playing card designed. We are making standard poker sized playing cards, which are 2.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall. We want the design to reflect the unique, colourful, quirky nature of the city of Brighton, while also hopefully alluding to more traditional playing card backs (think classic bicycle playing cards). You are free to be creative, but we would like the design to also include a title. "Pubs of Brighton" or something a little more quirky and fun, such as "A very small selection of Brighton's many wondrous pubs". Because, of course, we are narrowing down nearly 900 pubs into only 54 featured pubs for the cards.
The uploaded images are NOT our designs, and they aren't necessarily what we want, they are just ideas. We do want the design to say something on it ("a few of Brighton's various pubs", "a small sample of Brighton's many pub's", "54 Pubs of Brighton" etc,) but otherwise We would just like some general imagery of Brighton. The Pier, the royal pavilion, the seaside, etc are all iconic, but they are not required to be included. We would prefer it to be colourful, but also wouldn't mind the classic monochromatic "bicycle" deck backing (see the of the Tacoma card deck)
