Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The organisation I am working for is an electricity provider. Of the 4000 staff, a large portion are field based workers e.g. mostly men (and some women) who climb electricity poles and work very hard to restore power. I'd say generally the workforce is a very grass roots and down to earth.
Energex is like a big family... everyone has been here for a long time, everyone knows one another, so any branding, needs to have that softness to it.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

Did you know that 1 in 5 people in Australia will be diagnosed with a mental illness every year; and 46% of Australians will experience mental health issues at some point throughout their life!
It’s a big issue and my client (Energex – google them!) has recognised they have a key role to play in supporting employees in this space. This organisation does a lot of work in the ‘healthy bodies’ space, and this will be a natural progression of this work.
MindFit is the program name, which is focussed on creating a mentally healthy workplace.
One of the big struggles in addressing mental illness in the workplace is the stigma attached to it. Through this program, we aim to create a safe space for our employees, so they can talk to their work mate without embarrassment or fear and be able to say ‘Actually, I’m not ok’. And through our program we want to support the person at the other end to know what to do when that happens.
The branding needs to be uplifting, yet also respective of the issue. It can’t be all ‘energetic’ and ‘enthusiastic’ because for people struggling, it’s hard to go straight there.
Good luck and I really thank you for your designs and making a contribution to such a positive project (I’m really grateful to be involved).
