Yendelela Trading Limited is an exclusive distributor of Bajaj Auto motorbikes and tuk-tuks for Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe. The company is developing a network of self-managed and third party sales, service and spares outlets throughout the country.
The Bajaj boxer BM150 is the number one selling motorbike in Africa with over 1 million units sold in 2014. Yendelela is a greenfield venture aimed at introducing this leading brand to the region and encouraging motorbike use as a legitimate form of low-cost transport.
The target audience spans from organisations to individuals. 80% of sales are in urban areas and often to key decision makers such as companies, government agencies and charities whereas 80% of product usage is in rural areas by government workers, aid workers and the general rural populace.
