My MotivActions- Small Actions for Gigantic Motivation to Weight Loss and Wellbeing
As a manager with twenty years' experience working in marketing and insights for major corporations and brands, Camillo specialises in deeply understanding human attitudes and motivations, and how these influence people's behaviours, for marketing and commercial applications. For the last ten years, the author has been leading sizeable teams of Insight professionals, studying, developing and applying to business some of the most sophisticated insighting techniques, as well as advanced motivational and coaching models and strategies. In his personal life, the author has long struggled to motivate himself to tackle his excess weight and obesity, until a few years ago, he set to experiment applying the same motivational and insight business strategies to himself, and crack the code of his own motivation, sustaining behaviour change for improved wellbeing.
How can we really motivate ourselves to embrace, and stick to, active lifestyles and healthy eating? Why is it so hard to sustainably change our lifestyles and achieve our wellness goals, and what can we do about it? When we seek to improve our own wellbeing, sooner or later we need to deal with our motivation, or the lack of it. Based on the author's personal transformation journey, and on stories of other individuals that successfully cracked the code of their own habits to sustain a radically improved wellbeing, My MotivAction is the first book to combine business and detective-like insight techniques, and the latest coaching research and strategies, to address the problem of individuals' unique puzzle of motivation and wellbeing. Backed by 20 years' experience as leader of people's insights, the discipline that studies people psychology and behavious for marketing and commercial applications, the author combines real success life stories of normal people with insight and practical exercises to inspire the reader in his or her journey of self re-discovery, transformation, and flourishing, beyond getting in better shape. Unlike many other books and programs, which approach people's behaviour change for wellbeing with general and sometimes simplistic to-do lists, bite-sized generic advice, quick-fix inspirational quotes, or the latest diets, My MotivAction is, first of all, a book of stories. With numerous provocative insights, tips and exercises, My MotivAction is the book for all those that at some point formed an intention to embrace a more active and healthy lifestyle, to look and feel good, but for some reason struggled to maintain motivation long enough to form new automatic habits.
Women and Men, 25 to 55 years old. They are readers of self-help and popular psychology, seeking ways to motivate themselves to get -and remain -more active and lose some weight, in order to feel and to look better. Segment 1 Struggling Pro's -• They are pro's of dieting and slimming plans, both doctor's, commercial programs and DYI. They have tried many different diets and plans, but they struggle to maintain their weight after losing it. They swing between two extremes like a pendulum, making it harder to lose and maintain weight at each attempt. Segment 2 -Awakening Beginners They seek both practical advice to kickstart a new journey towards ideal youth, and emotional reassurance and confidence that they can thrive and age well. Holistic wellbeing mixed with practicality. • Pain point: due to being inactive & indulgence seekers, or genetically/socially predisposed, they have an history of excess weight, but they have not done much about it before. They always believed they could enjoy their life and do all the things without particular problems, up to now. Segment 3 vì Holistic Jugglers: • They seek self-optimisation and convenience, primarily solving the puzzle of juggling their tasks and schedules. • Pain point: multiple life commitments and projects have started to take a tall on their body shape and energy, and they wish to obtain and maintain their optimal state.
